Only joking :) PS: said child LOVES your work, particularly Du Iz Tak, which she refers to as “Ta Ta” and demands we read to her at the dinner table every night...
It’s heartwarming to know imaginary worlds get to be a collective experience for these kids, growing up they too often were a solitary escape for many of us. Cheers to amazing teachers!
my siblings’ school did a weeklong program for two summers called “cardboard camp” where about thirty or so kids were given free rein (with some supervision, of course) to fill the school gym with cardboard box buildings to turn it into a little city. i remember going to the “grand opening” of the city and being blown away by how elaborate and delightful it was
first!
I could not love this more!! I wish I’d had this as a child 🤩
same.
I was thinking the same thing!
mishashire! :D what a lovely little world & creative haven for kids!
Where was this when I was a kid?! This looks like so much fun.
It’s not too late 😀😀😀
“We traveled for 30 days and 2 nights” 👏👏
Oh my gosh, this is so wonderful!
Adopt me please Omg!
How do I sign my child up?
Sorry - it’s not open to the public. The kids are all students at the school where the teachers work.

Aw!
What an incredible program. Love the fact that it's more than just a quick activity but instead gives the kids time to really dig in.
I see somebody's already said this but it's what occurred to me the moment I got to the end of the photos: "Couldn't love this more!"

This post is amazing book titles all the way down ❤️
And how is there not an annual Andrew Henry's Meadow festival somewhere in the PNW?
I guess you should start one! That book is an important text at this camp. They kick off the week by reading it every year.
Guess I'd better go make some friends on Bainbridge Island
Checking this out right now and getting several copies for the kids (and adults) in my community. Thank you for this little bread crumb to follow!

I've thought for awhile that this is a great idea!! So cool. I always remember the friends of mine when I was little who had cool cardboard setups!
This is awesome! Kids are amazing!
This is truly one of the most adorably wholesome things I’ve ever heard of. Cheers for free imagination!!
Love this so much. Thanks for sharing a peek into this lovely world :)
