Here’s an easy embroidery demo to help you get started. Some supplies to have on hand if you’d like to stitch along with me:

  • embroidery floss

  • embroidery needle

  • scissors

  • embroidery hoop (optional but very helpful)

  • fabric

  • something to mark fabric with (water soluble pencil, chalk, fabric marker, pilot frixion pen)

You can embroider on just about any fabric that isn’t stretchy. Denim, canvas, and cotton are all great. Avoid fabric that is very thin and drapey or so thick that it will be hard to push a needle through. Fabric tote bags work well.
